OUT for Sustainability invites you to the first ever Earth Gay in Berkeley! We are partnering with Urban Adamah, a working farm and sustainable agriculture project to connect our network to volunteer with an awesome Easy Bay resource. We will meet at 1pm to get a brief introduction to the project’s inner-workings and how farming is actually pretty queer. After that, our fab queer+allied community will help with maintenance, new plantings and learn a thing or two about the permaculture practices on the site. We will provide a lunch and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow OUT4S folks.
This event is designed to be a safe and stimulating space for people of all genders, orientations, race/ethnicities, ages, abilities, classes, and religious affiliation.
Urban Adamah is focused on sustainable agriculture and social action in Berkeley, CA, visit urbanadamah.org for more information.
It’s January in the bay so be prepared for anything. Dress warm, waterproof and in layers! Hats and sunscreen recommended.
