Thinking About More Than Nature
Our planet is a special place and is far more valuable and complicated than we usually recognize while sipping down our soda. Nurturing our collective home is no easy task with laws and systems and habits and realities to face, yet that won’t stop us from working to make it better. Sustainability in terms of the natural world and our use of it is the idea of continuing current actions in such a way that we can continue them in the same manner. Rather uninspiring until you realize that it’s an incredible challenge when faced with accelerating major issues that threaten our very human existence. To make that less panic inducing and more approachable, we’ve created six groups to constitute human interaction with the environment: Building, Energy, Food Systems, Resources, Transportation, and Water.
