Overview
OUT for Sustainability launched in the fall of 2008 after months of brainstorming over games of tennis and community engagement meetings with every available LGBTQ and sustainability stakeholder we could find. What came from that was that making the LGBTQ community and the sustainability movement be friends was much more than getting a date, it was about partnerships, action and fun. Now a thriving nonprofit based in Seattle, all-volunteer run and supported by a network of LGBTQ and ally organizations, OUT4S is a voice for the next evolution of the LGBTQ community.
Mission: OUT for Sustainability engages and mobilizes the LGBTQ community to advance social and environmental sustainability.
Vision: OUT for Sustainability believes the LGBTQ community can be a leader in creating a thriving ecosystem for us all.
